Examples of Deregulation Proposals Being Solicited

Regarding English-Language Administrative Procedures
  • Due to the language barrier, application procedures, such as forms available only in Japanese, can be difficult to complete. This proposal seeks improvements to make these procedures accessible to non-Japanese speakers.
(Including the provision of application instructions, application forms, and required documents in English.)
Regarding Residency Status
  • An entrepreneur wishes to start a business in Osaka, but their spouse is employed in their home country and unable to accompany them, making it difficult to proceed with the business. This proposal aims to grant the spouse a residence status that permits remote work during the entrepreneur’s stay under the Business Manager Visa.
(This has been proposed as a relaxation of Residence Status under Article 33.)
  • If you have any other requests regarding the relaxation of residence status requirements to support business expansion in Osaka, please feel free to consult with us.
Regarding the Regulatory Sandbox System
  • This proposal seeks to create an environment in Osaka where entrepreneurs can pursue innovation, and new financial products and services can be tested in real market conditions by granting provisional licenses or waiving license requirements.
(This has been proposed as a pilot program related to financial licensing.)
Examples include: stablecoins, digital currencies, and digital securities.
★Please feel free to consult with us if you believe additional regulatory reforms may be necessary beyond those listed above.
